Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 July 2026

These terms govern your use of SaaSy Tax. By using the service you agree to them. This is general information, not legal advice.

What SaaSy Tax is — and isn't

SaaSy Tax prepares estimates of your GST and income/provisional tax from the data you provide. Every figure is an estimate, not tax advice. We are not a tax agent and we do not file anything with IRD on your behalf — you file in myIR yourself. You should confirm all figures with IRD or your accountant before you file or pay.

Accuracy and your responsibility

Estimates depend on the accuracy and completeness of the data you upload and the settings you choose. Tax rules change and edge cases exist that the app may not model. You are responsible for the correctness of your returns. We make no warranty that any estimate is correct or suitable for your circumstances.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for your own business's tax preparation. Don't upload data you have no right to, attempt to break the security model, or resell the service without our agreement.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed through Stripe per the pricing shown at sign-up. Fees are in NZD. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription then renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SaaSy Tax is not liable for any tax shortfall, penalty, interest, or other loss arising from reliance on an estimate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Your tax records are retained per our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
